The article considers the possibilities of using electronic maps Google Maps, Apple and Yandex as key sources for searching identifying geographical objects. In era digitalization, GIS technologies have become most important tool study toponyms. purpose work is to identify toponymy Almaty by a new approach, which popular practical 2GIS map.
